That's right, it's time for a meme! Everyone's excited, I can see it in their eyes. ...I'm so wordy.

From [livejournal.com profile] nonartisan ♥:

1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song. Or your favorite kind of sandwich. Something random. Whatever you like.
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.

1) the first time you saw the picture of mona lisa, what did you think?

I can't really remember - it's been so long, they show you these things so young! Or at least, my mom does. I think I probably just thought it was interesting. I was aware it was famous but I didn't know anything about art, so I didn't know why. I'm sure I just thought it was a pretty picture of some lady. XD

2) why fuji? what is it about him that makes him your favorite character in tenipuri?

First of all, there's a character type that I almost always like that Fuji fits into. So it wasn't surprising at all. I'm predictable. But I liked Fuji because he doesn't take tennis or life too seriously - though that changes sometimes. He seems to just be doing it for fun, and me not being a sports person at all, it's easier for me to identify with a character in a sports series who does it for fun instead of being really serious all the time. ^_^;; But I like even more that while he doesn't take it really seriously, he can get serious, especially for other people. I guess that's changing a little in the manga now, but it's too late, I already love Fuji.

Also because he's a little evil sometimes. I usually like the evil ones, I have to admit.

3) high skies or deep seas? and why?!

To be in or to look at? I get weirdly claustrophobic so I wouldn't want to be deep underwater, though I'm sure it would be beautiful. I would LOVE to be able to fly though, I've always wanted to. I like the ocean to look at and wade in, though. It's so full of life, though it's not too beautiful around here. All dark green and freezing cold. I didn't answer your question at all... >.> *runs away*

4) out of all the books you've read, what is the most life-changing (for you) one in your collection?

That's hard, I read too much and I own so many books. And so few of them are here at my apartment, most are at my mom's house. ^_^;; For all that I read a lot, I'm not sure a book has ever changed my life. Reading the Sandman graphic novels during high school sparked an interest in comics that still lasts (actually X-Men did, but then I stopped reading comics for a long time). I'm not sure if that counts, though. ^_~ Mostly it was just books in general - I love them, period, and because of that I decided I wanted to become a librarian. Which I may or may not still do, but if nothing else, it lead me to work at a library for three years.

Haha, I am awesomely not answering these questions. I'm sorry!

5) Favorite song by Moxy Fruvous? And why?

I Will Hold On, because I'm a sappy romantic at heart. *embarassed* And because it's inspired by Gabriel Garcia Marquez's Love in the Time of Cholera, and we've already established that I love books. XD Mostly though, just because it makes me melt a little. Though they have many great songs.

I just didn't really give solid answers, but if you're happy with them, that's good enough. :)

I do... not very often, but it happens. ^_^;; I think I sent you that song once.

Do you want more questions, or are you all done?

Because I tend to get wordy when I talk about myself? :P

I meant the other way around, but you can ask me anything.

Then I'll feel lucky. I always like to know more about you.

1) What is the most life-changing book you've read? ^_^

2) What was your favorite subject in school, and why? Or did you just daydream through all the classes?

3) Is there a specific image, sound, or scent that reminds you of when you were a child?

4) What is your favorite picture that you or someone else has taken?

5) If you had to choose, would you prefer the desert or the deep forest?

i had to retake this and correct my typos. i make a lot when i'm lacking sleep...*thud*

1) if there's a book that changed my life it would be "trainspotting" by irvine welsh. i've always been a classics fan, so i was used to wilde's pageantry and articulate witticisms. then i made myself read "trainspotting" (before the movie came out) for the hell of it and i was introduced to this whole new style of writing. and also a whole new level of appreacition and reading the work of one dubbed as the "poet laureate of the chemical generation". i loved the story, went squeamish over some scenes and decided from the one that i'd want to watch trains go by someday ~ for kicks. i choose life, really. all i want is to live in that free sort of way.

2) this is a hard question you know =P i really liked natural sciences or biology (sophomore year), i don't look it but i do. also, english literature (junior year) was an ok subject too. my teacher made it fun and interesting. we'd analyze poems that are actually songs: john lennon, linda rondstadt and bob dylan. normally, i just wait around for recess or lunch - but then there are instances when i come alive momentarily during class.

3) ah, puff the magic dragon by peter, paul and mary. the first folk song my dad introduced me to. it was the first time we connected really well. i was around 6 or 7 at that time. all went well until i found his beatles collection, it all went downhill from there. i couldn't really deny the true call of helter skelter ;)

4) i have yet to take my best picture. so i'll give you something by my favorite photographer in the multiverse: william wegman. when i'm rich i'll be able to afford his photo books. THIS is my favorite photgraph from him (a shot taken from his collection entitled "puppies"). i love it because it's the epitome of freedom and so very hakuna matata. that puppy is so lively, nt caring about anything at all. everyone should be able to live like that even for one day. lucky dude.

5) even in death (if my body were never to be found and be consumed by the sands) i'd prefer wide open spaces. so the desert would be my choice. though every desert leads to the sea (or did i watch too much hidalgo?) or has an oasis. so maybe if i keep on going i'll be lucky enough to survive the whole ordeal. i'll be like sandy plankton, only in desert mode.

i'll add this to my previous meme-kun post ♥

You're a Gaiman and a Fruvous girl?! *hugs* and *squee*

I'll play. Here's your random fruvous quote:
"We came from monkeys. We once were hunted. Perhaps we recognize that haunted human face. Maybe the suburbs are just far to antiseptic. Kids needs some splatter splatter messing up the place."

I am! Yay, I'm not alone! *dances* Haha, I love 'Splatter Splatter'. One of my favorites, definitely. Here are some questions!

1) If you had to live in any era besides this one, which would you choose and why?

2) What is your least favorite pairing in any fandom?

3) What's your favorite Fruvous song?

4) If you were stranded on a deserted island with one Prince of Tennis character, who would you want it to be?

5) What is your dream job? It doesn't have to be a real job.
