There's no real plot here...

about_rey, in appreciation of her general excellence and winamp skin skillz.
I wrote half of this last night and half this morning, which always makes me feel like fic is disconnected (which is why I usually prefer to write the whole thing in one sitting, but... I was tired). So I'm sorry. x.x And I wish I could write long things.
Prince of Tennis
Tezuka/Fuji
I'm tired of trying to figure out ratings, so I'm not doing it anymore. I never write smut anyway. :P
He hadn't actually intended to sleep with Tezuka.
Fuji could admit he was a bit of a flirt, from time to time. But he was not a slut. He'd been with a limited number of people in his life, and was actually very picky. He did flirt, but in such a way that those who took him seriously tended to find themselves knowing they had no chance without him ever having to say so. It was a delicate art, but Fuji had always been delicate but effective. Since middle school tennis, and before.
Which brought him back to Tezuka.
He'd been flirting with Tezuka since middle school- but then, he'd been flirting with Eiji since middle school too, and they'd never had sex. So that wasn't really an excuse.
Not that Fuji normally needed or wanted to find excuses for his actions. But Tezuka, who he'd known since he was twelve, was currently asleep in his bed. Mostly unclothed. Which was really a very nice sight, on a purely aesthetic level, and Fuji was seriously considering getting his camera and taking some pictures before Tezuka woke up. Although getting up would probably wake Tezuka anyway, since Fuji was right next to him.
Fuji was idly admiring the way the gray light from the window played across Tezuka's skin, and considering just how exactly to get out of bed without disturbing him, when his chance passed.
Tezuka stirred, and looked over at him, squinting ever so slightly without his glasses. "You're staring."
Fuji smiled. "Not staring. Appreciating. It's entirely different."
"Aren't you tired?"
"Are you worried that you didn't tire me out? Oh, Tezuka, don't worry. I promise you did. I'm terribly exhausted." Fuji's smile only grew when he saw the slightly exasperated look in Tezuka's eyes.
"That's not what I meant. Get some rest." Tezuka hesitated for a moment, and for once looked slightly unsure. "Do you want to talk about this?" They hadn't, before. It had just sort of happened.
"No. Not really." Fuji sat up, sheets pooling around him. "Except I suppose I'm wondering why."
Tezuka shrugged, which was actually kind of impressive, since he was still laying down. "You've been flirting with me for years." That seemed to be enough of an answer for him.
"Well, yes, but I was never serious." Fuji reached up, placed his fingers on the mark Tezuka had left on his neck earlier. "Why now is a better question, maybe."
"I got tired of waiting for you to get serious," Tezuka said, relaxing back against the pillows, eyes sliding shut again. "Go to sleep."
Fuji was still for a moment, turning Tezuka's words over in his mind. His eyes widened slightly, and he looked down at the other man. Even after knowing Tezuka for so long, he still couldn't quite grasp Tezuka's mind. Fuji was pleased.
He lay down next to Tezuka, closing his eyes. After a moment, he felt Tezuka's arm go around him, and he smiled softly.
