I'm in Japan! And have more free time than I thought, maybe it'll stay this way? Not likely. Most life-posts and random shit are going to be at [livejournal.com profile] clockworkwings because that's my RL journal. Photo posts too, when I do them!

And here is a ficlet! Completely unbetaed, written for [livejournal.com profile] colorless_sky because she had a bad day yesterday and I love her. I should probably have written this for Eiji's birthday, but I can't control my ideas. XD;; I still need to try my hand at Tezuka/Fuji one of these days.

Prince of Tennis
Fuji/Eiji, if you want it to be (I tried, I really did!)
PG for crack (In my defense, Sarra asked for crack!)

It had been a long day. First there was a test in English class that Eiji had completely forgotten about, and it was especially bad because Fuji had missed that period, so Eiji couldn't cheat off him.

Then he completely failed to manage to track Fuji down during lunch and wheedle out why exactly his friend had missed the class, because Fuji had immediately disappeared.

That left the girls of the class to converge upon him, wishing him happy birthday. Some of them even gave him presents. Normally Eiji would like this, except that it seemed like all his actual friends had completely forgotten about his birthday, and he was feeling a little overlooked.

And then zombies attacked the school.

Actually, that kind of made Eiji feel better.

After all, it meant that class was canceled while the student body fought for their lives, and somehow none of the zombies seemed to be attacking Eiji, so he was free to enjoy the carnage.

He was sitting on one of the benches by the tennis courts, watching a group of shuffling zombies chase Horio, when Fuji sat down beside him with his usual grace.

"Fuji!" Eiji bounced across the foot of space between them, wrapping his arms around Fuji, who only smiled. "Did you see? Zombies!"

Fuji nodded. "It's hard not to see, you know. There's a dismembered leg on the courts. But I'm glad you're enjoying them, Eiji. Happy birthday."

Eiji's eyes widened. "Fujiko! You brought half-rotting corpses back from the dead for my birthday?"

"When I asked what you wanted, all you said was zombies," Fuji said, shrugging. He didn't appear at all bothered by the thought that he'd broken who knows how many laws of the universe.

Eiji decided not to be bothered either. After all, if anyone could do it, it would be Fuji. "This is the best present ever! Thanks, Fuji!" He leaned in and gave Fuji an enthusiatic kiss.

"You're welcome. Now let's go to my house, the other regulars are there. I hope you wanted a party, too." Fuji somehow managed to stand without dislodging Eiji from his current position (wrapped around Fuji, slightly reminiscent of an octopus.)

"Ooh! A party! With cake, right? And we can watch the zombies wreak havoc! It'll be great!" Eiji detangled himself enough to walk without toppling them both over. "Best birthday EVER!"

Fuji laughed, and started towards his house. "I hope so, it was difficult to get the blood of consecrated virgins, after all. But as long as you like it, I'm happy."

And thus it was that Eiji had a good birthday. And somehow, a few of the zombies made their way to St. Rudolph and terrorized Mizuki, but we don't talk about that. It was an accident. Really.
