Man, I haven't used this journal in awhile... ::brushes off dust::

Well, in a bit I'm going to go get the sushi for the party, but to kill time until then, I feel like talking about Hikaru no Go. Because I like it! And because the other day I bought these two cute little pins from Anime Kingdom. One of them has Mitani on it. Mitani! I love him so much. I know I say this all the time, but he's my favorite. He's so grouchy and adorable. I want to ruffle his funny lookin' hair.

I've downloaded up to episode 24, and watched up to 22. It's addictive, much like crack. And Mev and Lyra, you guys so need to watch more! If only because it features a return appearance from Kaga. Of course, I may be the only one who likes Kaga as much as I do, but still. Kaga!

I do kinda wish there were a few more girls, but it's a shounen series, which means that chances are if there were more girls, they wouldn't do much. I like Akari, though... she's cute, and Hikaru's so mean to her and she (mostly) just shrugs it off. You can kinda tell they've been friends for a long time. I always like it when the friendships in anime are a little more like real friendships. You know, teasing, stuff like that. My friends are often mean to me (and I am more often mean to them), but I don't take it seriously and neither do they. You don't actually see that kind of thing in anime very often. It is saddening.

There's that other girl, too... uh... Go Salon Girl. I don't know her name. She's cute, too, I like her character design. But she really doesn't do much besides fangirl over Akira. Hee, Akira. I love that little obsessive freak.

But really. It's all about MITANI!

Ack, I should get going if I want to hit the store for drinks beforehand.
