Jun. 20th, 2003 02:23 am"God? God is love. I don't love you."
Mmm, The Prophecy.
Just realized, upon this viewing, that Joel Soisson was the producer. He's my mom's cousin (is there a better name then this for a relative? 'Mom's cousin' sounds so distant). He also was involved in such great films as 'Bill and Ted' (I don't remember which one, or maybe it was both?) and 'Dracula 2000'.
Also, there is a lot of celestial touching in this movie that I did not notice before. Gabriel kisses Simon's hand... Lucifer does a little groping of Main Human Male (whose name I remember, but don't care about), and licks Gabriel. Um. Yeah.
Once again... I have to buy this movie when I have money.
Viggo Mortenson plays Lucifer, and does a great job. You go, Aragorn.
"Did you ever notice how in the Bible, whenever God needed to punish someone, or make an example, or whenever God needed a killing, he sent an angel? Did you ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? A whole existence spent praising your God, but always with one wing dipped in blood. Would you ever really want to see an angel?"
